If you would like your Federal and State taxes prepared and e-filed for free, you can make an appointment by calling either the Ladysmith or Bowling Green library.
All of the preparers are trained and some of the people have been doing this for years – one lady has been doing it for 19 years. Each preparer has to pass a test every year to make sure he/she is up on the current laws.
We can’t do rental property or businesses with expenses of over $5000, but we can handle house purchase, loan forgiveness, foreclosure, new homebuyer credit, new car sales tax credit, IRA distributions, capital gains/losses, etc.etc.
You will have to come in person. It’s not a drop off service, so it takes your time but not your money.
Just wanted to make everyone aware of a way to save money.
