Jennifer and I were out of town when the great blizzard of 2009 hit Caroline. We drove the back roads from Westmoreland to Caroline this morning, only to find that the roads were ok until we hit Ladysmith Road from Rt.1 to Lake Land’or. Once we got in the subdivision, they were still needing some work.
When we got home we found that the snow plows had created quite the barrier. After about 45 minutes of digging and getting just far enough to park one car at the end of the driveway, my wife decided that I had eaten enough high-blood pressure pills and we called around for help.
The first two numbers we called had voice mail and we moved on (great lesson for business owners about being accessible.) Our third call was to Tim Powell, who lives in Caroline. He answered his cell phone and was about 10 minutes away at another job. About 20 minutes later the driveway was cleared and it only cost about $50. If you want to give him a call it’s 804-366-5259. It was worth every penny and then some

That is very smart Matt.I’ll tell you local people can give you a better deal and be faster than a bigger business.Small businesses need money in our economy,especially,and can get a very good reputation in thier community for good service.Trying to save money and do it yourself is not always best,glad you got help quickly and found a good person to help out.
Am writing his number down immediately!!!! If you had just let us shovel it like we offered it would have been done…. we were worried about you doing it all alone. Glad you got some immediate help. I think all those folks living in this subdivision should HAVE to GET THEIR CARS TOWED out of the ditches they are in!!!!!!
