Super Bowl Plans?

by Jennifer Rathbun on January 31, 2009

I’m sorry to say I know very little about football. I actually watched almost every foot ball game this year – at least it felt like it! And I learned quite a bit about the rules. I even learned a bit about the players themselves – much made me raise an eyebrow.

While Matthew cheered for the local Redskin team, I sat on the opposite end of the couch cheering for the Eagles.

So neither of our teams are playing this year. I actually do not remember who is playing. But we have invited our Church family over for the event.

Matthew is responsible for the invitations, the time of the event, the entertainment system, and the seating. So what am I responsible for? Cleaning the house and organizing the food.

I’m staying with the basics this year – chips and dip, soda, cheese and crackers, popcorn chicken, and sub sandwiches cut into small segments. I may go out on a limb and make.. no… this year I think I’ll stick to heating items up and opening bags to put in large bowls!

I saw this football cake that Wal-Mart is offering this year.

It looks really cute! But not many of my friends would be interested in eating chocolate cake with green and brown icing. So I think I’ll buy the cookies instead!

Weather you have a special recipe you make every year, a tradition of where you go, or what you do, please have a safe and fun Super Bowl Sunday!
