The post on “Short Sale Myths” is very good as many people have heard these. The most important part of this, I feel, is that you have a verifiable economic hardship and then the bank will take your case seriously.

Doug, that is so true! If we all just try to do the right thing, then when hard times come, we can help each other. That’s the way it should be. But banks want to protect themselves also, so don’t be surprised when they ask fro your bank statements, tax records, and pay stubs!
